Speaking to the media at a movie premiere, Tallulah, the youngest of three kids that Bruce Willis, 69, and his ex-wife Demi Moore, 61, share, posted a video of herself as a youngster messing with her father’s head while he holds her in his arms.
Tallulah subtitles the video dated March 15th with the words, “Tell me you’re autistic without telling me you’re autistic [sic],” encouraging her 408,000 followers to comment.
Some viewers shared their admiration for the adorable moment in the video, while others who were aware of her habits mentioned her autistic signs and her father’s affectionate response.
The lovely way he just kept holding you without even being fazed by that. One netizen writes, “You and your dad are both unique, honey.” “In your defense, shaved heads are as soothing as little Japanese sand zen gardens,” says a second.
“His concern for your feelings is magic,” a third online admirer adds.I’m overjoyed that you have moments preserved in the vault of eternity.
A recent diagnosis
A psychologist who focuses on neurodivergent diseases has one of the most well-liked remarks.
“If you don’t mind sharing, did you receive a diagnosis when you were younger?” The user, who goes by the handle mfizzle, goes on, “I’d love to read more about your trip, but I’m not sure how much you’ve revealed. This is a really lovely video, and you are courageous and inspirational. Best wishes!
Tallulah says in response to this user’s query, “I’ve never disclosed my diagnosis in public before. My life has transformed when I learned about it this summer.
Stimming
A developmental disability brought on by variations in the brain, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Social communication and interpersonal issues, as well as limited or repetitive activities or interests, are common in people with ASD.
Scout LaRue Willis, 32, provided additional details in the Instagram comments section on the relevance of the attached clip to her younger sister’s condition.
Scout LaRue writes, “She’s stimming,” alluding to the repetitive motions that some autistic people may do in order to control their sensory input.
Tallulah adds, “Dude the ear curl,” alluding to the moment she curls her father’s ear when he gives her a charming smile. “I wish the audio was better.”
The struggle of her father
As their father continues to struggle with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Tallulah, Scout LaRue, and 35-year-old Rumer Willis have been showing him love and care.
The Die Hard actor, who turned 69 on March 19, was diagnosed with FTD in 2023. FTD is a degenerative disease that mostly affects behavior and communication rather than memory. The actor had aphasia, a condition that impairs communication, writing, and interpersonal understanding, as one of the initial signs of the illness.
Willis, who has two more daughters with his wife Emma Hemming Willis, has received support from his loved ones since the diagnosis.
We just adore him, just like you do. Emma, who married the Last Boy Scout star in 2009, adds, “What you might not know, but maybe you could imagine, that being wrapped in his arms is the safest place in this whole wide world.” He truly is a gentleman. With a lot of love to share and give. I get to see his actual essence that way. I can assure you that it is incredibly pure and delicious.
