Any Music Man readers out there who follow dancers on TikTok may well be aware of Brody Hudson Schaffer, the Californian-born dancer that has taken the internet by storm with a combination of pure dance, gymnastics, and sassiness in his routines. And whilst this might not sound particularly unusual for a dancer who has earned popularity online, it may surprise you to know that right now Brody is just eight years old and has been gracing social media with his talents since the tender age of two.
A few days ago Brody auditioned for America’s Got Talent, and his routine was as spectacular as his pre-existing followers might have expected. Dressed in shiny black trousers and a colorful open-necked shirt as though he were a professional dancer, Brody delivered all the moves, spinning, backflipping, and leaping across the stage to the soundtrack of Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’. “His confidence is absolutely outstanding,” commented one viewer, and here at The Music Man we couldn’t agree more.
Unsurprisingly, the judges were also blown away by this young man’s confidence, sassiness, and clear love for dancing, with all four of them apparently unable to believe that such a competent, energetic performance could be achieved by someone so ridiculously young. “You are already a superstar!” exclaimed an overawed Sofia Vergara, whilst even the typically stony Simon Cowell compared Brody’s levels of confidence and showmanship with those of Queen’s legendary frontman Freddie Mercury.

With his adorable mix of sassy confidence, showmanship, gymnastics, and impeccable dance moves, Brody’s audition routine had everything you could possibly want from a young dance act, and no doubt he’s already earned thousands of brand new fans based on this performance alone.
